Sunsets

So, I didn't think that anywhere was more beautiful than San Juan, but down here I found that there are places ALMOST as beautiful. We have a western view and have seen some beautiful sunsets.

Moving

MOVING DAY!!!

So, Dad got moved and then Avery and Trevor loaded up the rest of our things and we headed south to the desert. Meeting us in Tucson were 9 wonderful Bear Canyon Ward members who along with Trevor and Niki, had us unloaded in less than an hour.
So getting stuff from our 5-bedroom home to fit into our 2-bedroom apartment wasn't easy. Good thing we had such a great yardsale. We still brought too much stuff with us! We have two bedrooms, two bathrooms and then our "large" living area which includes our kitchen, dining room and living room!

Moving to Tucson AZ

So I thought my life was all comfy cozy. I had plans of living in Blanding for the rest of my life. My children were going to build homes in the field behind us, with trails beaten to Grammy's house and we would live happily ever after. Sometimes life doesn't turn out like you thought! Now, I find myself in Tucson, AZ, in two-bedroom apartment. But I am with my wonderful husband and can see family pretty often and so I am good. I work at Tanque Verde High School. Steve works as the Transportation Director for the Tanque Verde School District.

So when we realized we couldn't fit our 5-bedroom home into a 2-bedroom apartment, we decided we had to have a yard sale....and everyone helped!! We sold... EVERYTHING!

Snow Day

WOW! What a wonderful storm we have been enjoying - or NOT - if you are having to plow driveways, dig out buses, or shovel

a trail to the chickens! That's Steve! We have received at least 32 inches and probably more. These are our little fruit trees. We can't even see their trunks. Even some of the lower limbs are buried.

Since we have such a large metal roof, the snow slides down off several times a day. When it slides down, the rumble sounds like an earthquake! The first time it happened that winter we moved in, it was certainly frightening. Anyway, this shot was taken out of Avery's old bedroom window. I hardly need to close the blinds at night. You can see how the snow has piled up clear above the window!

This is a shot of our 4 foot faucet just south of our driveway. When I took this picture you could only see the top of the spiget. As I am typing this, we can't see the top!
